Holy Island, joined to the Isle of Anglesey by 2 bridges, is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with a wondrous coastline – majestic cliffs, rocky inlets & beautiful sandy beaches at Trearddur Bay, Porth Dafarch & Rhoscolyn

The Coastal Path, which leads to many secret coves & breathtaking views, encircles Holy Island

Trearddur Bay, on the west of Holy Island, is a great retreat to blow away the cobwebs & relax

It boasts good restaurants & informal eating places as well as a 9 hole ‘pay as you play’ golf course

The Blue Flag beach, 500 yards, is great for canoeing, sailing & swimming

The Inland Sea, 2 miles away, is ideal for windsurfing

Horse riding stables ½ mile

Holyhead Mountain & Rhoscolyn cliffs, 2 miles, are very popular with climbers

Nearby is South Stack Lighthouse & Elin’s Tower at the RSPB reserve on Holyhead Mountain

Also two country parks at Penrhos with a quiet beach &  the Breakwater in the old quarry which provided the stone for the Holyhead breakwater, the longest one in Europe

Ferries from Holyhead (2 miles) take under 2 hours to reach Dublin in Southern Ireland

Menai Bridge 20 mins, Snowdonia 40 mins.

Trearddur Bay is about 1 3/4 hours from the M6/M56 interchange, along the A55 Expressway on the North Wales coast & across the Isle of Anglesey
